The Fastest, Least Complicated Image Viewer I’ve Seen

The web is full of free programs that allow you to view your collections of digital image files.  However, most of them are unduly complex.  Thankfully, Nexus Image is an exception.

It’s small – just a 2 MB download from http://www.xiles.net/nexusimage/.  It’s virus-free, according to Virus Total.  It works with every version of Windows from XP onwards.  It’s portable, so installation is not required and removal is simple.  But best of all, Nexus Image makes it incredibly easy to look through a folder of photos.

Browse to the folder, then use your mouse wheel to scan through the pictures.  A vertical thumbnail strip helps you navigate.  Each image is automatically resized as it’s displayed.

If you want to work the program in simple mode, that’s really all you need to do.  But right-click a picture and you’ll find loads more options, should you wish.
